I offer a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space to explore the things that are troubling you.
Working on more difficult issues is generally not a quick fix but change and growth can usually be felt over time. Together we spend time building an understanding of what might be going on underneath to cause your feelings of depression, anxiety, troubling thoughts or repeated patterns in behaviour.
Emotional distress can go hand in hand with difficulties in relationships with others and with yourself. Often the work in therapy is about trying to make sense of those relationships and the feelings about them.
In psychodynamic psychotherapy we explore the issues that you bring to each session, rather than follow a programme week by week.
I offer both open-ended and time-limited therapy. Time-limited work lasts 4 to 12 weeks and usually has more of a focus on a particular issue.
